Deinonychus: Deadly. Savage. Clumsy.

The species which launched a thousand images and movies of dinosaur murderdeathkill, Deinonychus anitrrhopus, almost falling over in a Cretaceous swamp. This image is based on trackways from Mill Canyon, Utah (Cedar Mountain Formation), which record dinosaurs - very possibly Deinonychus - slipping about in this fashion. Image concept by ReBecca Hunt-Foster, comissioned for Utah's Bureau of Land Management.
