Longisquama insignis gives a wave

No-one seems to know what sort of reptile the Triassic, Kyrgyzstan species Longisquama insignis represents, but it must have looked darned fetching with that enormous, fan-like structure along its back. Here, Longisquama are displaying in the early morning sun, using hand-signals to communicate their attitude and status (a trick seen in many modern lizards).
